How it works?
- Watch the training video
- Share the link with everyone in your network (friends/ customers)
- Ask the customer to click on the shared link and complete Kotak 811 savings account opening process
- Enter name, email id & phone number
- Add PAN & Aadhar details. Provide consent to authenticate via aadhar and agree to terms & conditions
- Enter OTP sent to mobile number linked with Aadhar
- Enter personal details like occupation, source of income, yearly income, marital status etc. and click on ‘Next’
- Confirm communication address fetched from Aadhar card. You can fill a new address for full KYC OR select the same address as communication address
- In case address is not serviceable, add a new address for communications
- Add nominee (optional step). We recommend customers to add a nominee to their account
- Read & confirm all self declarations
- Setup 6 digit MPIN
- Virtual debit card gets generated (note that process is not completed yet). Some customers might get option to get a credit card against a fixed deposit, click on ‘Skip’ or ‘Claim card’
- Click on ‘Complete Full KYC’
- Upload PAN card copy, selfie and signature photo. Accept terms and conditions
- Allow location access
- Video KYC:
- Keep original PAN, blank paper & pen handy to complete video KYC
- Allow permissions for microphone & video
- Answer questions asked by the bank executive correctly (customer to answer on their own without any prompting)
- User to get account opening email from Kotak
- Your income will get credited in your linked bank account during the payout cycle.
Terms & Conditions
- Applicable for only new Kotak customers
- Video KYC is required to open “Kotak 811 Full KYC Account”, otherwise no commission will be paid
- Please check if the customer’s pincode lies in the valid list of pincodes as provided by Kotak
- If there is no Kotak branch within 12 kms of your current residential location then Kotak Lite account would be opened (no commissions for opening Kotak Lite account)
- You can see Account Type under the “Account Features” section
- The customer must register with the mobile number linked to his Aadhaar card.
- Payout on a weekly basis, case wise decisions would not be shared by the bank.
- You are not allowed to charge anything from the customer. If found guilty, your account will get blocked and earnings will get frozen. We might also apply a fine for any such instances.
- The entire account opening process should be completed in one go.
DOs
- Complete the process in a single journey, if required, resume the journey using the link from the “my customer” section.
- Check pincodes availability.
- Customers should keep a blank paper and PAN card handy while doing video KYC.
- Customers should not have any existing account with the brand or had previously applied for the same.
- Inform customers of the product features and how to use the account.
DON’Ts
- Don’t make false promises like loan, credit card offer to the customer.
- Don’t use your phone or laptop for opening the customer’s account.
- Never login to a customer account on your phone or device.
- Avoid any mismatches between PAN and Aadhaar Card.
- Multiple accounts are not allowed from the same device/number/email ID/PAN/Aadhaar.
- There should be no background noise while doing the video KYC process.
- Paying money or offering incentives for account opening to customers is not allowed.

Q1.Do we get commissions if a person’s address as on Aadhaar card address is in a non-serviceable area/pincode?
Ans->No, he will not be eligible. Address on Aadhaar should be from a serviceable area.
Q2.Do we get commissions if the phone number used is different from the phone number linked with Aadhaar card?
Ans->No, only the number linked with Aadhaar should be used, otherwise you wont earn commissions.
Q3.Can we open account for customer in same house but on different floors?
Ans->Yes, they will be eligible if floor number mentioned in Address proof.
Q4.What are the charges for getting cheque book?
Ans->A Cheque Book can be applied through Net banking or can be issued from the nearest branch. Chargeable at Rs. 3 per cheque leaf (available on request). For 811 select customers- Nil Charges for 5 Cheque leaves per Qtr, thereafter chargeable@ Rs 3 per cheque leaf.
Q5.How can customers get a physical debit card?
Ans->Customer can request on the Kotak 811 app. Charges for physical debit card will be Rs. 199 plus GST Annually
Q6.Can customers get a credit card and what are the charges for the same?
Ans->Yes, Credit cards can be applied through Net Banking or by visiting the branch. Charges on credit card varies from card to card
Q7.Is there any limit of online transactions for NEFT, RTGS, IMPS etc?
Ans->There are no limits for NEFT and RTGS. If it is done through online medium then no charges will be levied
Q8.Can we open accounts at places where there is no Kotak branch?
Ans->Yes, you can open a Kotak Lite account, but you will not be eligible for commission
Q9.Can we open an account using our phone on behalf of the customer?
Ans->No, you should avoid using your phone number to open Customer’s account. You will not be eligible for commissions

Ans->Yes, joint accounts can be opened but you will not be eligible for commissions on it

Ans->No, Virtual debit cards cannot be used for withdrawal of money

Ans->Yes, but you will not be eligible for the commissions. PAN is required during the account opening process
